What We Believe

Worship at Market St. Baptist

        We have a welcoming and supportive church family that participates in a blended service that leans toward a traditional service.  We have worship leaders of any age from the congregation that make announcements, pray, and occasionally preach.  We engage in both unison prayers and pastor led prayers.  Prayer concerns come from the congregation in written form to be read by the pastor.  We also extend an invitation for decisions for Christ or rededication to Christ as well as church membership each service.

We engage in communion the first Sunday of each month which is led by the pastor.  We sing both hymns and praise songs.

We have a strong commitment to Sunday School and have several adult classes as well as children’s classes that range in ages from toddler through high school.

We have an active Awana program and children’s choir, VBS program, bell choir, several women’s circles, men’s prayer breakfasts, and several bible study groups.

We have developed and participated in mission trips during disasters.  We also support  several overseas missionaries as well as the following local community ministries:

-Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse)

-Care and Share

-Tools for Schools
-Souper Bowl Benefit Luncheon
-Eastside Community Ministry where we have
members on the board, we participate in monthly gathering of food items for their pantry and more

We have hosted National Day of Prayer programs and have held community car washes as well as outreaches at the local shopping centers.
